With the lack of a tourism/information centre in the Waterberg, Tracy at Seringa Cafe is providing a community service by compiling a dossier of activities/ facilities amd relevant businesses in Vaalwater and environs.
There is no cost.
A new book “Historical Incidence of the Larger Mammals in the Free State and Lesotho” offers a fascinating insight into the wide variety of mammals which thrived in these areas and has relevance for the Waterberg and Limpopo.

The results are in for the Endangered Wildlife Trust’s Carnivore Conservation Programme (EWT-CCP) Waterberg photographic competition! The aim of the competition was to gather data on the numbers, distribution and habits of large carnivores living in the Waterberg area; and, as a result, to reduce conflict between people in the region and these charismatic predators.
